On Tuesday 1 December 2026 at 12:00 JST, Masahiro Kotosaka interviews Professor Gary Hamel of London Business School in the keynote of the DIAMOND Harvard Business Review 50th-anniversary forum "The Future of Management", titled "From The Future of Management to What Comes Next". The forum is held online and attendance is free; places are allocated by ballot among those who register in advance.
ハメル教授は、1990年に C.K. プラハラード氏とともに「コア・コンピタンス」を提唱し、『経営の未来』『ヒューマノクラシー』などで経営と組織のあり方を問い続けてきた、世界的に知られる経営思想家です。琴坂も、DHBR 2026年10月号の共著論文 「経営戦略50年の進化を10の視座から読み解く」 で、コア・コンピタンスの概念の提唱者として教授を取り上げています。フォーラムの名前にもなった著書『経営の未来』を起点に、戦略と組織のこれからを伺います。
Professor Hamel introduced the concept of core competence with C.K. Prahalad in 1990 and has gone on to question how companies are managed and organised in books such as The Future of Management and Humanocracy; he is one of the world's best-known management thinkers. In his article with Jonathan Trevor in the October 2026 issue of DIAMOND Harvard Business Review, Kotosaka discusses Professor Hamel as one of the originators of the concept of core competence. Starting from The Future of Management, the book that gives the forum its name, the conversation looks ahead to the future of strategy and organisation.
