On Tuesday 1 December 2026, from 16:00 to 18:00 JST, Masahiro Kotosaka will speak at a seminar hosted by PoliPoli Inc., titled "Building Policy into Corporate Strategy" (subtitle: "Reading 'policy management' with Masahiro Kotosaka"). Taking PoliPoli's white paper on policy management as its starting point, he will discuss with Jinta Yamada, the company's COO, how to build public policy into corporate strategy and medium-term plans, from the perspective of management research. The seminar is held both at Kanmin Kyoso HUB in Toranomon, Tokyo, and online, and attendance is free.

Changes in policy and regulation shape a company's growth opportunities and competitive environment. The seminar asks what it takes to go beyond listing policy trends as one item in an external analysis and to build them into growth strategy and investment decisions. Drawing on the white paper's argument and on company cases, it considers why policy can be treated as a management resource, what the initiatives of leading companies mean strategically, and what a first step might look like for a company starting out. It is aimed at senior executives, chief strategy officers and heads of corporate planning, those who draw up or revise medium-term plans, and those who work with public affairs teams to put policy issues on the management agenda.
