Why come to the SFC Open Campus
今年度もSFCではオープンキャンパスが開催されます。そして、琴坂研究会は昨年度同様、オープンキャンパスに出展いたします。オープンキャンパスは自分の行きたい大学の実体を知るのに最適な機会です。受験生のみなさん、この機会に是非SFCのオープンキャンパスに足を運んでみてください。オープンキャンパスにくればSFCや学生の実体や、さまざまな研究会について知ることができます。
SFC will again be holding its Open Campus this year, and the Kotosaka Seminar will once again take part. An open campus is the best chance prospective students have to see what a university is really like. We warmly encourage anyone considering applying to come along to the SFC Open Campus — it is a great opportunity to get a feel for SFC, the students who study here, and the wide range of seminars.
SFCのオープンキャンパスでは主に以下の４つのことを知ることができます。①SFCの学習環境について ②SFC生のキャンパスライフについて ③SFCの研究会について ④SFCの実際の授業について
At the SFC Open Campus you can learn about four things in particular: ① the learning environment at SFC; ② daily life as an SFC student; ③ what SFC's seminars do; ④ what classes at SFC are actually like.
①SFCの学習環境について キャンパスを「学生ガイド」と呼ばれるスタッフが案内してくれるツアーがあります。また、大学の各所にスタッフが常駐しているポイントがあります。ツアーや常駐ポイントでの会話から、大学のパンフレットからだけでは知り得ないSFCの姿や学習環境について知ることができます。
① The learning environment at SFC: friendly student guides offer tours of the campus, and staff are stationed at points around the university. Through these tours and conversations you can come away knowing things about SFC's atmosphere and learning environment that simply cannot be conveyed by a brochure.
②SFC生のキャンパスライフについて 高校生の皆さんは、大学生がどのような１日を過ごしているか、知っていますか？SFCは様々な分野の授業を受けることができ、また他大学より必修科目が少ないため、学生は各々自分の興味分野の勉強をしています。また、遠隔で受けることのできる授業も開講されているため、外部活動に力を入れている学生も多いです（琴坂研究会にも外部活動チームがありますが、琴坂研究会以外にも外部活動をしている方はたくさんいます）。オープンキャンパスでは、現役のSFC生と直接会話ができるコーナーが設置されています。このコーナーで普段SFCに対して抱いている疑問を解消することができます。さらに、大学生の日常、SFC生の日常についても詳しく知ることができます。
② Daily life as an SFC student: do you know what an ordinary day looks like for a university student? At SFC you can take classes across many different fields, and because we have fewer required courses than most universities, students concentrate on what genuinely interests them. With many lectures available remotely, plenty of students also pour energy into extracurricular work (the Kotosaka Seminar has its own extracurricular team, and many other seminars do too). The open campus includes a corner where you can talk directly with current SFC students — a chance to ask whatever you want to know about SFC and to learn what daily life as a university student, and as an SFC student in particular, actually looks like.
③SFCの研究会について SFCには100以上の研究会が存在し、日々、それぞれの分野の研究をしています。SFCでは、大学1年生から研究会に所属することができます。また、学生は一度に最大３つの研究室に所属することができます。そのため、学生は、自分の持っている問題意識について複数の視点から研究を行うことができます。今回のオープンキャンパスには、そんな数ある研究会の中から、琴坂研究会を含む6つの研究会が出展をします。各研究会の研究分野について知ることもできますし、それぞれの学生に個人研究やプロジェクトについて質問をすることも可能です。普段、積極的に情報発信をしていない研究会も今回は出展していますので、なかなか知ることのできない研究について知る絶好のチャンスです。
③ SFC's seminars: SFC hosts more than a hundred seminars, each conducting research in its own field. First-year students can already join, and a single student can belong to up to three seminars at once — which lets you approach a single research question from multiple angles. At this open campus, six seminars including the Kotosaka Seminar will exhibit. You will be able to learn about each seminar's research focus and to ask individual students about their own work and projects. Some of the participating seminars do not normally publicise themselves much, so this is a particularly good chance to learn about research you would otherwise rarely get to see.
④SFCの実際の授業について オープンキャンパスでは、模擬授業が開催されます。SFCでは様々な学問分野への扉が開かれています。言語についても11の言語が開催されています。そんなSFCで実際にどのような授業が行われているのか、言語授業はどのようなものなのかを知ることのできます。なお、模擬授業についてはオープンキャンパスの事前申し込み時に予約する必要があります。
④ SFC's classes: mock lessons will be held at the open campus. SFC opens doors into many academic fields — for example, eleven different language courses are offered. The mock lessons let you see what teaching at SFC actually looks like, including the language classes. Note that mock lessons require an advance reservation when you sign up for the open campus.
琴坂研究会出展情報
About the IBER-Kotosaka Seminar exhibition
琴坂研究会は今回のオープンキャンパスで、ポスター展示とプレゼンテーションを行う予定です。ポスター展示会場には、研究会所属の学生が常駐する予定です。いつでも琴坂研究会について、経営学について質問しに来てください。もちろん、「経営学って何？」という経営学にあまり関心がない方のご参加も歓迎です。さらに、琴坂先生がHarvard Business Reviewに連載した記事や、現在先生が執筆中の書籍の見本版の展示も行う予定です。プレゼンテーションには、中学2年生で株式会社グローパスを立ち上げ、現在はHand-Cの代表取締役社長をしている仁禮彩香さん(総2)、中学3年生で株式会社GNEXを立ち上げ、デジタルマーケティングソリューションの開発・提供を行う三上洋一郎君(総2)の二人が登壇します。三上君は現在内閣府の有識者会議で民間議員も務めています。
At the open campus, the Kotosaka Seminar will run a poster exhibition and short presentations. Seminar members will be on hand at the poster venue throughout, so feel free to come and ask anything about the seminar or about management studies — even very general questions like "what is management studies, exactly?" are welcome. We will also display articles by Prof. Kotosaka serialised in Harvard Business Review, together with proof copies of the book he is currently writing. Two seminar members will give the presentations: Ayaka Nirei (Faculty of Policy Management, year 2), who founded a company in middle-school year 2 and now serves as CEO of Hand-C; and Yoichiro Mikami (Faculty of Policy Management, year 2), who founded GNEX Inc. in middle-school year 3 to develop and deliver digital-marketing solutions, and currently also serves as a private-sector member of an experts' panel at the Cabinet Office.
