HIPとビジネス系ニュースアプリ「NewsPicks」によるコラボレーションイベント「HIP Conference」の第1回が2015年7月27日に開催されました。初回テーマは「自動車」。「『モータリゼーション2.0×都市』〜都市におけるモビリティの可能性〜」と題し、3つのセッションが行われました。
The first HIP Conference — a collaboration between HIP and the business-news app NewsPicks — took place on 27 July 2015. The opening theme was "automobiles", organised under the banner "Motorisation 2.0 × the City — the possibilities of urban mobility", and unfolded across three sessions.
「モータリゼーション2.0のサービス」のセッションには、日本交通株式会社 代表取締役社長の川鍋一朗氏と、パーク24株式会社 代表取締役社長の西川光一氏がゲストとして登壇。モデレーターは立命館大学経営学部国際経営学科准教授（当時）の琴坂将広氏が務めました。タクシー、駐車場という自動車関連サービスを提供しながらITを活用した新たな取り組みに挑み続ける2社が、サービス展開の現状を紹介しました。
In the "Motorisation 2.0 services" session, Ichiro Kawanabe (President & CEO, Nihon Kotsu) and Koichi Nishikawa (President & CEO, Park24) appeared as guests, with Masahiro Kotosaka (then Associate Professor of International Management at Ritsumeikan University) as moderator. The two companies — both delivering automobile-related services in taxis and parking while continually pushing into IT-driven new initiatives — described where their services stand today.
